Searches
Upon payment of the required fee, Council will carry out the following searches on any property within the Clifton Shire: Rates Search, Building Search, Town Planning Certificates. Fees are as follows:
Standard Rates Search $120.00
Urgent Rates Search $170.00
Building Records Search $50.00 per hour
Limited Town Planning Certificate $110.00
Standard Town Planning Certificate $220.00
Full Town Planning Certificate $330.00
Showgrounds
The Council’s Showgrounds Complex and Recreation Grounds, situated in Morton Street, Clifton are available for hire. Enquiries regarding hire of the Complex should be made to the Council’s Administration Office on Ph. (07)4697 4222.
Swimming Pool
Council provides a 25m Solar Heated Swimming Pool and a Wading Pool at the Clifton Municipal Swimming Pool, King Street, Clifton. Enquiries Ph. (07)4697 3364.
Pool Hours
The pool is open during the swimming season (September-March) as follows:
Monday - Friday - 6.30am to 8.00am & 12noon to 6.30pm
Saturday & Sunday: 10.00am to 6.00pm
Public Holidays 1.00pm – 5.00pm
Closed Christmas Day and Good Friday
How much does it cost to go to the pool?
Under 5 Years - No Charge;
Children/School Students/Pensioners - $1.50 per Session/$37.50 per Season;
Adults - $2.00 per Session/$50.00 per Season;
Family Concessional - $75.00 per Season (These fees are including GST).
Swimming Pool Fencing
All domestic swimming pools, whether above or below ground are required to provide some form of child barrier. Generally this is achieved by the construction of a 1.2m high fence combined with self-closing and self-locking gates.
A development permit is also necessary for any swimming pool or spa.
Domestic swimming pools are one of the greatest causes of death in children under five years of age

Weed Control
Council is responsible for the control of all plants and animals declared under the Rural Lands Protection Act. Council issues a Noxious Weeds Notice around March every year. This form is to be filled out and returned to Council to qualify for exemption to the Noxious Weeds Levy of $250.00.
